A wonderful day in late July saw 20 teams compete in the the first Architectural Sandcastle Competition held as a joint event between Design Circle and the Bristol Society of Architects.
Teams from both sides of the Severn joined us on Barry Island beach for this afternoon of competitive fun, which judging by the feedback was an astounding success. Winners judged by a Jury consisting of former RIBA president George Fergusson, president of the Institute of Structural Engineers Tony Harris, BBC Weatherman Derek Brockway, and leader of the Council, Gordon Kemp
Design Circle and Bristol Society of Architects would like to take this opportunity to once again thank Vale of Glamorgan Council, the volunteers, the Judges, and of course all the competitors for making this day the success that it was.
