The design philosophy illustrates the journey a child takes on entering the learning environment – in a nuturing yet stimulating approach.
The design philosophy and construction method have been developed in order to be applied to any site in Wales.
Starting with the early years the concept evolves with the experience of the child as they progress through the early stages. A cave like protective and enclosed space for the early years gradually opens to the landscape and further into the community. This is expressed by the idea of the beacon which integrates the individuals with the community.
