Responding to an open invite to creative activists in the built environment in Wales, there were 67 submissions.
A selection panel of six, chose material - seeking common themes and conversations, plus making space for the random chancer. The panel added subjects they thought neglected ,or of their own making.
What may appear innovatory to a lay-person, may appear old-hat to the seasoned professional. The selection erred on the side of what might engage a lay audience.
The underlying narrative is simple:
Push the envelope for contemporary HOMES in both rural and urban settings
Open eyes to more inspirational Schools and Arts for PUBLIC PLACES
Use the talent that is taught in our singular leading Architectural School, to encourage innovatory making
And most important of all, slip past the constant obsession with the brand ‘new’ and make it innovatory to REMODEL and REVALUE creatively what we have.
